SCHOOL CURRICULUM

An extensive range of subjects is available at Scoil Ruain encompassing the academic, scientific, artistic, practical and technological areas. All Junior and Leaving Certificate subjects are offered at both Higher and Ordinary level.

JUNIOR CERTIFICATE SUBJECTS

Students choose one subject from each of the following two groups.

Group 1

Home Economics or Materials Technology Wood or Materials Technology Metal.

Group 2

Art or Technical Graphics or Business Studies.

Music

Music is offered as an optional extra subject to Junior Certificate. Theory classes are held after school and are free of charge.

LEAVING CERTIFICATE SUBJECTS

Core Subjects

Irish, English, Maths.

Option Subjects

Students choose 4 subjects

French, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Agricultural Science, Geography, Art, Accountancy, Business, Construction Studies, Engineering, Design Communications & Graphics, Home Economics.
